Prickly Creek Exotics Disclaimer

  If you put a deposit down on a baby, it is your responsibility to contact us and schedule an
  appointment to pick up your baby. Appointments must be scheduled 48 hours in advance. If
  the owners of Prickly Creek Exotics are not notified by the perspective buyer and no
  appointment has been made to pick up the baby hedgehog, we will try to contact you via
  phone or email one time only. If we get no response within one week from the date when the
  baby is available to go to their new home or by the efforts of us contacting you (perspective
  buyer), Prickly Creek Exotics reserves the right to place the baby in a new home without
  notifying the person who paid the deposit. All deposits are non-refundable.

  You must be 18 years of age to purchase a hedgehog from us, if you are under 18 years of
  age, you must have your parents permission, and your parent will be responsible for filling
  out all the paperwork.

  In order to ensure the healthiest hedgehogs with good temperaments, we do not allow
  anyone under any circumstances in for viewing of our herd. It is possible for someone to carry in
  an illness or disease that could wipe out an entire herd. We understand that some people would
  like to see what a hedgehog is before they buy one, that is why I strongly encourage you to
  research them as much as possible before making the choice to buy one.

  We will not sell opposite sex pairs to any persons who does not have a current and valid
  USDA license. Please understand that it is illegal to breed, sell, and/or give away
  hedgehogs (plus numerous other exotic pets) without having a valid USDA license. We will
  not contribute to the illegal breeders population. If we, Prickly Creek Exotics, sells a buyer
  a pet hedgehog, and if the buyer is falsely representing themselves, and plans to illegally
  breed with any of the hedgehogs that come from our home, they agree that the owners of
  Prickly Creek Exotics may confiscate the hedgehog at any time.

  We are breeders, not dealers or wholesalers, which means we do not buy baby hedgehogs
  from another source to turn around and resell to our clients. That is why we do not have
  readily available baby hedgehogs. We only sell the babies that are born here to our herd.
  There are many anxious buyers in this state, but you must understand our priority here is
  our hedgehogs first and foremost. We only breed when we feel our animals are completely
  fit for breeding. If you want a great, tame, healthy hedgehog, then you can be assured that
  the wait you will have with us is well worth it. We guarantee the health of all our babies.

  All perspective buyers should be aware to these terms before placing a deposit down, or
  before purchasing a hedgehog from us. It is not our responsibility to go out of our way to
  contact you or to inform you of these terms.

  New Policy effective October 8, 2003: If you have a baby held for you and deposit has not
  been received within 7 days of the baby being put on hold, you will loose that baby and
   you will be removed from the waiting list. We are enforcing this new policy due to an
  overwhelming number of people who tell us to hold a baby, than don't bother to send a
  deposit. If you made a deposit and it hasn't arrived in that 7 days, it is your responsibility to
  inform us that it will be late.
 

  Buyers who fail to uphold to the contract in which they signed are subject to a $500 penalty.
